Morning all,
I don't know if it is good fortune, or bad luck, but I don't know enough
about the state of Texas, not to mention Big Bend. What I can, am willing to
do, is keep a running list of attendees. I am also available to send out any
needed notices.
So, what I need from each lister wanting to go is a name, address, telephone
number, and e-mail address. No, I do not want your personal information for
myself. I want to put it all together in a word processing software then send
it out to our web site. You may want to hook up with someone coming your
direction.
So far, is sounds like one or two groups are going to be family camping
inside the park itself. There may, or not may, be room to add one bike to
each site. I have suggested that we look into camping out in the bush so to
say. I propose (if it is legal), to take one of the dirt roads and get near
one of them natural bridges and set up a rough camp for the rest of us. Or,
if they exist, we could try those "rustic" or "primitive" labeled camps. I
don't know the area. Hopefully someone on this list will know that area very
well?
It sounds like September 21, has been scheduled as the arrival time at Big
Bend.
Oh by the way, your personal information stays on the list and only on the
list. My word is my bond. I am a motorcycle rider, I ride a KLR, I'm forty
years old, and I am a reverent member of the AMA. I would never do anything
to a fellow/mistress of the motorcycling brother/sisterhood. So, if you are
worried that I'll sell your information, forget it. Never.
Well, I am located in Austin, Texas. So I'll be heading westward for this
trip.

lunch or so, then I would return to Austin.
Keep me posted if you are interested.

The names I have heard so far are myself -
John(KLR650Nut) , Ron, Pat, Kris, maybe Terry (?). I
know the area well but I don't know the back roads
that well. Have been on every spot of pavement,
stayed in the Basin many times, and have backpacked
throughout. I'm in the family contingent, will have
tools, air, trailer. May even bring a Turkey!
