My apologies to the group about an unintentional re-post (I'll get this figured out yet. If not I'll get help from my teenage son)...I'm sorry to hear about your riding buddy Lew. I'm about 3hrs south of you here at Fort Richardson. If I can help, let me know. Seriously.

Hi gang: I'm feeling better drinking vodka. The tension pain in my back left shoulder area is still there, but I don't give a damn now. From somewhere we will draw strength to go on. A member near Anchorage, at Fort Richardson, has offered help. We may need it. Didn't know there was anyone on the list in Alaska, but then again, Gordon was looking for us in Deadhorse everyday until he found us. We are everywhere. Many members apparently lurk without posting, but are there for those who need help, when the need arises. We still appreciate the fantastic camaraderie of this group. We have seldom taken advantage of the many offers of assistance, because our route didn't go through their neighborhood. This second disaster for Punky has prompted me to ask for assistance from anyone capable of offering. Punky is an innocent victim of my desire for adventure. For some reason, Murphy has chosen to pick on him. I Knew Murphy was a low-down rotten motherf****er, but didn't forsee how rotten he could be. Maybe I should leave Punky safely at home, while I indulge myself in this folly? I feel SO guilty for his suffering. One more vodka drink and I will go to bed or maybe not. It's still not dark yet and won't be all night. I'm still waiting for the phone to ring, fearing bad news from the vet's office. Another 24 hours, free of bad news, will be welcome. This is an example of the crap going through my mind now. Nobody said this was going to be a rosegarden. As a matter of fact, many warned me of disaster. One thing that pisses me off is that Punky's problems have had nothing to do with riding with me on the bike, but it's part of our tour. Sorry for the rambling. I needed to vent. Punky & Lew
