picking up my new 01 klr in the a.m.

Post by eric & amy » Thu Jun 07, 2001 8:00 pm

Well after much searching and researching, Ive decided to splurge and buy the KLR650. Thanks to EVERYONE for all the good info. Been reading the list for about a month now. I got a good deal since the '02s are coming out next month- $4650 out the door. Plus 10% off all accesories forever. What are the first few things i should do to it after I get it home-- besides the stupid kickstand switch removal?? What other mods are "necessary" for about 30% offroad? Why is the front fender so damn high?? THanks. Eric.

Eric. __________ Eric, nothing is necessary, the bike is what it is...not great at anything...but adequate to good at everything...feel the force...discover what you need... Not me.

Except when you tip over at 0 kmh, like I did, so the tip doesn't fold. Mister_T

To make it easier to do the "Kiss of Death" stunt like I saw Mad Mike Jones do tonight (Crusty Demons World Tour show, 'cept Mike didn't use a KLR. He's mad but not stupid). Mister_T
