There seem to be lots of little systems for insuring that you remember. I used a piece of velcro that I took off the lock when putting it on and then covering the ignition key with it. I also had a small round magnet that worked the same way, off the lock and over the ignition so I couldn't forget. Before employing those I made the mistake of forgetting but with no real consequences. It's a bummer to try and leave in a hurry with the lock still on. Can cost a lot of plastic on a sportbike.

Am I missing something here. There is all this talk about putting on wheel locks. On my 2001, I can lock the handlbars full-lock left. To me it seems like it would be very difficult to ride it this way unless you were good at wheelies... You left out some of the details. To pilot one of these you have to fit the Little Oscar profile; which means only midges need apply. I personally met one of the Little Oscars when he and his Wiener-Mobile visited the corner store in the N.W. side Chicago neighborhood where I grew up. It wasn't a fun experience for the little guy. The neighborhood kids, a nasty bunch, started shoving him around, tripping him and such. Just another fond memory from my innocent childhood. Bogdan
