You know, if kids and other inocent lives weren't involved (they are), and
it didn't translate into higher medical and insurance premiums (it does),
then I'd just shrug it off as "natural selection". Let the crazy cagers
kill each other. Maybe we could have them regulated to only use specially
designated roads so they could crash each other to their hearts content.

There is nothing like the great feeling you get when you are handed your
signed DD214! (Discharge papers)
Still, you are a little far out to be counting the hours, and daydreaming
and longing for it won't make it come any faster, and will only make the
time left seem longer, which leads to slacking and a pour attitude.
My unsolicited advice: Don't do that. The only way to make the time
shorter is to really get into your duty. Kick ass and take names with the
remaining time you have. Always maintain a positive attitude. And, above
all else, always have fun with your duty, no matter how sucky it is.
(Actually, I found that I had the most fun during the shitiest of duties,
and I was a grunt, so it got really bad sometimes.) Do this, and I
guarantee you that the time will go faster, and you can get a glowing letter
of recommendation and reference from your CO. I also guarantee you that you
will miss your friends after you leave.
Jeff--Three years out and no regrets. (After eight years in.)

I have a pair of Scott goggles designed to fit over glasses. I wear my
sunglasses underneath.
