I used to wear a coverall style Rain Rider in bright yellow. I'd wear it over my uniform to and from work, rain or shine. Talk about Hi-Vis!! My co-workers referred to it as " the Banana Suit", look at my last name and you can imagine the permutations...... Steve Pye A7

I like to answer silly riding gear questions with like silly answers: ...That suit looks hot: skin grafts don't ...aren't those helmets expensive, why pay so much?: An ER/ICU bed costs quite a bit more... or earlier this week from a sandals-shorts-teeshirt squid on a GSXR: hey are you a fag? that purple looks really gay man (Joe Rocket Ballistic jacket): Can you see me?: yeah man, from a mile away!: Ok. --- Rev. help, running hot

Post by kenneth scott » Sat Jun 24, 2000 9:14 pm

Help, My bike is running Hot! I have a '99 with 3100 miles on it. I just adjusted the valves, they now measure in the middle on spec. I then changed the oil to 10-40 Mobil syn motorcycle oil. I washed the bike and cleaned the chain. It was 70 in Massachusetts and I went out for a ride after I did all this work. I was doing about 50mph with a few stop lights. The temp needle was on the hot side, about 3/4. At each light the fan would kick on. I would get it up to about 50 and it still would not drop to the middle. Before today I have driven the bike in 90 degrees with out a problem. Was it something I did when I did all this work? Any suggestions would be great.
