[dsn_klr650] slime and tubes
re slime - it will solve small punctures, but won't heal everything. Helps
keeps your tires balanced - for the price, why not? Only thing is, it makes
patching a tube much harder. Just carry preslimed tubes and swap 'em out if
you do get a flat. I carry a front and rear tube - has anyone ridden on a
front tube in a rear tire for a long distance? I would much rather just carry
the one tube if I could be sure it wouldn't pinch, then swap it for the correct
one when I got home.
On the wrenches - I spoke with Dual Star a few weeks ago - they weren't happy
with the quality of the laser-cut wrenches, which has delayed production
somewhat until they can tweak it, sounds like they've got pretty high
standards, so I'm prepared to wait for a good product. If you're thinking of
buying them, ring and order now - they won't bill until they ship - but then
they know exactly how many paying customers are waiting, and will put a higher
priority on getting them out (their words). Sounds like they're busy there...
