I hope I'm missing something really obvious here...
I'm lubing my swingarm and Unitrak at the moment, got all bolts out,
swingarm off, but the 3-holed piece is still connected to the frame. It
will rotate fine, but will not come out. When I look at it from the
inside, the bearing shaft is not rotating when I rotate the piece. I am
sure it has been off before - I watched my mechanic do the first
swingarm lube, but can't remember how he got it out in the first place -
it should just fall out when you remove the bolt, right? Does the
bearing shaft just slide out like every other joint in the Unitrac, or
is there something holding it captive?I'm trying to work out what I'm
actually seeing when I peer into the darkness - There seems to be a seal
inside the frame part as well as the Unitrac piece - ?
For once I'm totally stumped and need to fix the knthing to ride to work
tomorrow.
Anybody?

Well Rich I'm probably too late to get you on the road for tomorrow but
here goes. I've been to that hell, and kicked a$$ while I was there.
There is a bearing sleeve that goes through the linkage knuckle, it should
flush up to the frame bosses but it may be either frozen to it or you last
shop tightened the bolt enough to deform the frame bosses and begin to
"accept" the sleeve. Loosen up the frame bolts that go through the back
end of the engine case, smack the insides of the frame with a dead blow or
plastic/rubber mallet and then smack the linkage knuckle with same. Should
pop right out for you. The frame bolt for the engine mount is actually
just above the frame bosses for the linkage knuckle.
So to answer your questions specifically..... Yes it should just fall out,
nothing special holds it in there. No seal on the frame side.
