I disagree with the "at least" part. I believe it needs to be a murder rap to insure someone who would so willingly throws away life isnt allowed back on the street. Alcoholism and addiction may be diseases but that doesn't excuse their action. Jail, or some other, means of insuring they can pose no threat to society. A trial and a guilty/not-guilty verdict are still important -- but it's hard not to think the defendant should not be driving during that time --- for all our safety.
