klr650 doo help, please
Luc,
You can t send pictures to the list but you can put them in a folder in the Photo section.
The only washer I can think of in that area is the 6mm flat washer on the adjuster bolt.

All,
I opened up the old Red '05 (34,520 miles) about a month ago to install a souped up stator, since it was opened I piddled with the doo ( Eagle Mike with torsion spring from old Fred) did not have a chance to work on it until today.Of course senility settling in, I forgot which way the Doo goes in ( see pictures) is it doo1 or doo2 ? Is there a washer somewhere that I missed ? let me know.. please , at my age riding is more fun than you know what ....
Thanks

What would make my Klr 650 slightly feel like I'm running out of fuel? Like small surges.

Uh, running out of fuel? Loose chain? Probably wind.

Mine was doing that and I found my chain to be pretty loose. It was
due for a change anyway. The new chain is very snug now and I don't
have the light surges...which for me was more in third gear.

Most KLRs run very lean and this will cause the surging. A jet kit or a shim under the needle and opening the air screw out to around 1 1/2 turns should eliminate your surging.

Chains don t wear evenly and if you run it too tight will act like it is surging. It is never a good idea to run a chain too tight. Better to run it too loose than too tight. A tight new chain won t have the surging feel that a tight worn chain will.
