I rode my 3 weeks ago .It ran great..Tried to start it today will not start.Charged battery.Turns over fine but will not start.Put in new spark plug.Made sure gas was on.Made sure kill switch was in right place.Still will not start. I parked my KLR 3 weeks ago.It was running great.Tryed to start it today and it will not start.Changed plug.Its getting gas to the carb  bowl.Still nothing.Turns over good.. Battery charged. Any advice ? Dennis

Does the starter motor turn over? If no starter, is the neutral light on? Check gear position. Sidestand down? Clutch pulled in? Kill switch on?   If starter motor turns. Is the fuel tank vented correctly? Open fuel cap. Drain the carby and turn the motor over. Check the petcock is operating correctly by removing the fuel line at the petcock and turn the motor over thus creating vacuum to turn on the petcock.   All these things can create a non start situation. I had a twisted vent hose on my fuel cap and the bike would stop after about 5kms. Left it a while and it did the same until I finally figured what was wrong. Untwisted the vent hose and away it went! There was no atmospheric pressure and the fuel draining out of the tank created a vacuum so no fuel would get to the carby.   Cheers Glenn
