Havent seen it here in the US for years which is a shame. I thought it was the best bike mag ever. They drew a lot from the motorcycle curriors for things like tips and tricks. Anybody on list in the UK? Is ride still there? Can you get me a web site from the inside cover? I attribute it to the Internet age. Too much competition from digital I think. A lot easier and cheaper to go electronic than to print glossy mags. I now get two newspapers electronically, plus my National Geographic. The men's mags like Playboy are really in trouble as you can get a lot of that stuff free on the Internet. I Like the ORIGINAL "Mother Earth News" Magazine. (1970s to early 80's) FAR more then the new.
AND Easyrider Mag, and readers digest. (In the same time frame) Less Ad's also.
Reason? The Public Forum, (as stated by Sky) INPUT Stories from others EXPERIANCE'S.
While in Motorcycle C. News, there are a few things from readers, it's usualy feedback, (critizing) the older stories.
PeopIe say you can read all you want, but experiance is what you realy learn from.
I went down doing 70+-, in a sweep under a bypass, of anouther freeway, (5 & 163) outside San Diego, (Black ice in the shadows?)
The bike was sideways, and about 1/2 way down, I was thinking calmly (My head must have been RACING) "Now lets see, all the articals I have READ SAY, When going down, you have 2 choices, 1. climb on top of the bike and ride it. OR 2. KICK AWAY HARD, because Most serious injuries, are from the bike smashing into you, if you just hang on. So I chose at that time (inchs from the ground) to KICK HARD. It worked.
PS. I SURE WISH THAT ARTICAL (and or EXPERIANCE) would have kicked in in 09, when I HUNG ON, AND the handle bar end cracked 4 ribs.
Moral of this article: I like the readers Forum's/stories (EXPERIANCE) in Mags.

Motorcycle Classics four times per year? Found this but don't think that's
what Bogdan meant:

I've read and re-read the following page many times. Good stuff, and free.

The old, great minds think alike. I've also settled on CW and MCN pretty
much for the reasons you stated. I also subscribe to a couple of mags that
arrive 4 times a year. Motorcycle Classics very well written - and
Sidecarist thrown together.

That is the one I meant, Ian. Why didn't you think that was it ? Thanks
for the info on the real classic page. I bookmarked it.
Bogdan, who's klr is 2 years short of classic; isn't 20 years the starting
point. Crossed 79k miles last weekend.

The site makes it look like a monthly mag, not a quarterly one.
