My 15 year old daughter Evy, is a Whitewater
Slalom Kayaker and member of the US Junior Team.
She also earned the bronze medal at this years US
National Championships race, sharing the podium
with this year's US Olympic Team member and a US
Senior Team member.
As a fund raiser to cover her travel expenses for
the upcoming 2013 season, we crafted limited run
of lightweight camp stove kits, with stoves
manufactured from 25oz aluminum water bottles.
While this technology is not new, we have done
much R&D to create a lightweight, durable stove
with known performance characteristics in a
variety of operating conditions.
The kit includes:
Stove (available in 4 colors- red, blue, green and pewter)
Durable 4oz fuel bottle with child-proof cap
Sturdy, mill-finished aluminum wind screen
Cold-weather performance kit: kevlar priming
wick, reflective heavy (1.7 mils) foil square and
insulating ceramic stove base
3mm neoprene drawstring carry pouch with
belt-loop & hook, and enough room for additional
accessories (matches, drinking cup, etc)
User's manual
The price is $25 per kit which includes postage in the US ($30 to Canada).
Funds can go via PayPal to evy (at) vanhornwhitewater.com
If you'd like to pay by cheque/MO, send us an email for our mailing address.
A demo video of a simple tabletop "baseline" test can be seen here:

I also have an outdoor demo (around 41 F with light drizzle) here:

Note, because they are made by hand, you may
experience slight cosmetic variations from kit to
kit. However, all kits function 100% and will
provide years of productive use.

effects of new tires
Well spare parts aside the new tires seem great.
Is it possible that vibration has been greatly reduced?
Further is it possible that required fewer tomato reach speed?
Before tires 75 mph would have been at about 6000-6100 rpm, today new tires 75 mph and barely got to 5200 rpms, even went up moderate hill in fourth gear, got to60 mph and still only 5700 rpms.
I have to say I like it, and assume this is a good change, running heidenaus k76 with 32 psi front and 40 psi back.
Thoughts or explanations?
Or does anyone think I need those left over pats I posted in the pics titled spare parts (from removing fenders and rack)?
