Ok, with all this talk of sheepskin covers, I have used some synthetic sheepskin from an old bed pad which worked pretty well, but wanted something more natural like sheep skin or better yet ...I picked up a buffalo robe to try. Not a prime example for the wall or floor (have one of them already we love to curl up in front of the gas fireplace). But adequate to cut up into appropriate size pieces. Haven t tried it yet as its still garage maintenance season here in Montana and the KLR needs some other maintenance before I go out on even a reasonable day when it gets above freezing.
Anyone else interested in a piece? I could cut to custom dimensions. No finishing or lashing included...strictly do it yourself, buyer beware. I figure about 500 sq. in for a KLR and I could make them available for 10 cents per square inch so figure $50 each.
General discussion welcome here on the forum, but if you want to order a piece, go for private email.
