Please keep him in your prayers. Those that know Dail just think the world of
him. I just hope I am able to go like he does when I get that age.

re texas and the border
re:Texas and the borderPosted
Some fantastic country in the U.S. Southwest. I've been down that way a few times camping/biking/motorcycling. Generally in was in the "shoulder" seasons and siestas during the early afternoon heat were pretty mandatory.
I motorcycled south from Albequerque to the Yucatan in Mexico. I was with 3 other guys and one of them used to work in Big Bend park for the US Parks Service. The obvious route for our trip was through Ciudad Juarez but he just flat out said - I'm not riding through there. He was a pretty affable guy so when he said that there was too much action in Ciudad Juarez for it to be safe the rest of us just nodded our heads and we rode down through Piedras Negras instead.
Great ride.

Many years ago, on my '95 BMW R11GS, I made the mistake of going there in June. It was like, 102 in the shade. A girl at the store told me it was in the 110s last week. I told her I was glad they were having a cool spell this week.> > I have been there numerous times... but not in summer but have not heard it being closed. Hot place in summer, but all of Texas is...and I am a native. > > Criswell
