The rear brake is fine. You have plenty of leverage with your foot to lock it. I have the front oversized EBC contour rotor and the Galfer rear wave rotor. I only got the rear wave rotor because I scored a slightly used one on EBAY cheaply. My stock rotor was well worn but still worked. Changing out to another bike's braking system is a hassle and not necessary. J#3

In my experience the right (or wrong) pads can make all the difference in the world.
I was in a pinch one time and installed some EBC organic pads on my '09. (It's all they had in stock at the local stealer). They were *%&^ing dangerous.
Now I use only HH-rated sintered pads. I don't give a crap how hard they are on my rotors, I wanna STOP when I grab that lever.
