[nlkr] kawasaki versys 1000
I didn't even notice the specs in kW and km.
In reality the British still use brake horsepower (bhp) and miles everywhere.
All road signage is in miles. Pick up any motor magazine and you'll see stats in bhp, torque in ft/lbs. and fuel efficiency in mpg (that's imperial gallons though).
However, I believe SI units are required in any official documentation.
Strangely enough, fuel is sold by the litre.
Temperature is pretty much given in C.
When I'm ordering deli cuts I may order a half-pound of ham. However I may order 200g of cheese.
If you want a tipple, don't worry, you get a proper British pint by law (if your pour looks short, your barkeep is obliged to top you up).

Bank of England notes in England and Wales. Bank of Scotland (among other Scottish bank notes) in Scotland. Northern Irish bank notes in Northern Ireland.
All worth the same, yet sometimes you'll get a vendor that refuses to accept one or the other.
It's a delightful mish-mash of everything here.
There is one constant, however, in sea of standards: The weather is shit from October to April.

Howdy,
Well the British have abandoned the venerable BHpfor the Kilowatt and the Imperial majesty of the mile for the kilometre. Thank God the U.S. is carrying the torch!
Feeling out-of-date,
