systemic collapse and vehicular escape/klr650

Is our whole system going to collapse? Europe and the US might disintegrate under the huge debt burdens and high unemployment. The KLR650 is about the perfect vehicle for Armageddon. The KTMs, while better bikes, would be hard to find parts for after systemic collapse. The heaviness of the KLR could come in very handy getting through/around masses of rioting people and Also, the KLR650 would be my first choice for procuring Soylent Green and running over/through mutants. With a ATV gun mount on the crash bars holding an eight shot, slide-action 12 ga., the mutants wouldn't stand a chance - providing one can shoot left/one handed. ;-) eddie

I want one of these: http://www.keltecweapons.com/news/preview-kel-tec-shotgun-ksg/ The compact form-factor is ideal for the KLR.. and 14 round capacity isn't bad!

The perfect companion bike for post-apocalyptic earth will the KDX-200. Not as heavy as the KLR, it won t be as good for mowing down zombies, but it will be more capable than the KLR for outrunning mutant creatures and negotiating through fallen debris and such. KLRs *and* KDXs will still be there. ** See 1984 video Deep Purple "Knocking At Your Back Door" for the prophecies. ... well, OK, those are Honda XRs. Guess a few of them will also survive. There is a new Kel Tec fold up sub that will shoot 9mm or 40 cal semi auto that will take Glock Mags and others that shoot 31 or 33 mags all for roughly $350 - $360 that will fold and fit in a motorcycle side case or brief case. A 16 inch barrel and 50 - 100 yards range. I am trying to buy one but they are popular. 2 friends have them. Criswell Sent from my iPad

I had a kdx200 before the klr650 and it was great in the desert around Las Vegas and Henderson and the Colorado river. Light weight big tank, reliable, great mileage. But, it wasn't very good at mowing down zombies or carrying over a hundred pounds of Soylent Green. J#3

I found this on Ebay, no affiliation or experience. I just thought it looked interesting. He's fabricated a locking storage box that goes where the side stand safety switch is - $67. Link to Ebay post: http://goo.gl/OzAax
