I got a RAM mount with the mount to hold my Garmin eTrex and it works just
fine.
Easy to remove the GPS holder off the handlebar clamp too, loosen the ball
socket enough to slip off the ball.
I got it free so, its a wonderful deal...

+1 on the RAM. Use it with my Garmin 60CSx on KLR, GSA and R100GS.
Flawless so far. The KLR is used for 90% off road and it's held up
fantastic. Even have it mounted on different bars (not the wide stock
set-up) and fits fine. It's tight but works without hitting anything
including the wind screen. Had to zip tie the brake line so it wouldn't
interfere with the GPS or mount. Needs room to move if you have an
aftermarket steel braded line. Make sure nothing binds around it while
suspension is going up and down.
