Wow, where did you get that? Is that a CAD model?

drain hole for sparkplug? ct scan view
David,
Here is a CT cross section of the KLR head. You can see where the
drain hole leads straight into the spark plug hole.

See photo linked below for what I'm talking about. If that's what this is, how do you unplug it? I tried to blow compressed air into this and it's definetly plugged. > > http://www.flickr.com/photos/9992563@N08/6106655143/ > > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > > > > ------------------------------------ > > List Sponsors - Dual Sport News: http://www.dualsportnews.com > Arrowhead Motorsports: http://www.arrowheadmotorsports.com > List FAQ courtesy of Chris Krok: http://www.bigcee.com/klr650faq.html > Member Map: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DSN_KLR650/app/peoplemap/view/map > Group Apps: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DSN_KLR650/grouplets/subscriptionsYahoo! Feel like tinkering?
I made my own "kit" using red LED lights found at the local auto parts
store.
Run the LED (+) wires back through the signal stalks and connect into the
tag light wire.
This is the nifty part: Connect the LED (-) wire to the turn signal's (+)
wire.
Yes, ground the LED to the positive wire.
Here's what happens: signal off? The LED is illuminated
by the hot wire from the tag and grounded through the turn signal. The
signal bulb remains off.
Signal on? The LED loses it's ground every time the signal blinks and the
signal works normally.
I put two LEDs per signal assembly for about $10 total. The LEDs I got had
the step-down resistors
wired inline right near the LEDs themselves. All I had to do was shorten
the wire leads as needed
while keeping the resistors intact.

Looks interesting; it converts your rear turn signals to running lights (amber) and additional brake lights (red) using LED's that install into your existing turn signal housings.> > I searched and didn't find this discussed before. Has anyone bought this?

drain hole for sparkplug? ct scan view
Yes and no, it's a CT scan of a KLR650 head. The data from the CT scan
can be turned into a CAD model, but right now it's just voxel (a pixel
is a point in 2D space, a voxel is a volume in 3D space) data set, and
it's about 1.5GB in size.
I did this a few years ago to see what can be done with the stock head
to improve performance, and if there was enough meat in some areas to do
any porting.
