He's an excellent rider. The one thing they won't tell you is what a couple of LAPD motor officers and I were talking about the other day. The top speed on that bike is around 110, and it's not very stable or confidence-inspiring at that speed.

1) He "may" have ridden this course before 2) He's on his bike ALL DAY LONG. 3) He didn't hit a single cone! Amazing. Robert P. Wichert P.Eng LEED AP +1 916 966 9060 FAX +1 916 966 9068 ===============================================

aftermarket signal light issues

Post by spike55_bmw » Wed Aug 10, 2011 5:54 am

You didn't say if you replaced the OEM flasher along with replacing the turn signals or the problem that caused you do all of this in the first place. If the OEM flasher was working fine prior to changing both the turn signals & flasher, go back to the orignial flasher. But it does sound like the flasher, whether it is the original or the new one, doesn't like the heat. Can't see where the heat would be an issue with the turn signals themselves. Don R100, A6F

I notice when it gets warm out side (+20c) the flashers go solid and don't flash but do when it is cool outside. When this happens I manually have to signal during turns,as you can imagine this is getting old real fast. So my question to the list is am I missing something here? Are the lights not grounding properly? Please advise. > > Tom >

I know that I can handle my old 1000cc BMW better at the end of a 7-day trip than when I started. Imagine how much better almost anyone could be after 8-10 hrs / day for 10, 15, 20 yrs. But at my advanced age, I would have a problem remembering the pattern through all of those cones. That's the amazing part to me but practice makes perfect. Don R100, A6F
