The route included a mix of paved and dirt roads. This route would give Happy Trails good input on the new product we were testing and find any weaknesses that needed to be changed. The gear I was wearing was an Arai XD Helmet, Klim Mohave pants with Klim base layer, Fly knee pads, Gaerne trials boots, First Gear base layer shirt and MSR Trans Jack with the sleeves zipped off and EVS pressure suit with kidney belt. The accident occurred in Hells Canyon on Hess road. I am not sure if I even lost consciousness or not, I can remember not being able to breathe and gasping for air was very painful. I could feel wetness on my face and when I opened my eyes I could see blood. I was about ten feet from the KTM690 and it was upside down facing the wrong direction. I guess you can say I had my bell rung from a rough landing. The Arai did its job, I had blue tooth unit on the side of my helmet and it was not damaged. Apparently I hit a pointed rock on the left temple area and there was a mark about the size of a quarter on the helmet. The pressure suit protected me from injury. My left shoulder is bruised and skin feels numb from the impact. The boots protected my leg from serious injury although the leg is badly bruised. I have a stable fracture of the C6 vertebrae and will be in a neck collar for the next 8 weeks. If the healing goes well no surgery will be needed. I was able to send I m ok messages from the Spot unit. I could have sent the 911 message but we felt the injuries did not warrant that response. The satellite phone worked about every 15 minutes and I was able to tell Sherry I was ok. Wearing the appropriated gear all the time may protect you from serious injury and in this case protected me. I did not plan on crashing that is why they call them accidents. They do a huge amount of business but they often get item descriptions wrong or leave out defects on used parts. They must buy at least 20 salvage title motorcycles a week. For instance, they are selling USED KLR650 BANK ANGLE SENSORS which are probably bar ends: Item image 08 Kawasaki KLR650 KLR 650 BANK ANGLE SENSOR Location: Ohio They also try and sell kickstand safety switches as SOLENOIDS. They have decent prices but watch out and document everything if you buy from them or you can get screwed. It is very difficult to get things resolved in your favor. Paypal/Ebay favors them because they are a big customer. You can call them and pay with your credit card for some extra safeguard. Best to stick with Fred or another Ebay vendor. J#3

I've also seen them advertise a sprocket carrier as a rear wheel hub. And I pointed it out to them in an email which got no response. I don't think the "errors" in descriptions are unintentional any more since they always seem to be selling something of lesser value than the description indicates. I've never bought anything from them and don't plan to. da Vermonster

Its probably is (could be) a chopshop (parting out stolen bikes). Who else would be selling stuff they don't know what it is ?
