hid installation on a 2004 klr

Post by Jeffrey » Thu Jul 14, 2011 10:25 am

I got an HID 4300K color temp slim kit H4 that has hi/lo beams from China through Ebay. The kit cost me 2 dollars and 19 dollars shipping. It only took two weeks to get. The kit is complete with half decent instructions. It is pretty much plug and play except: 1)YOU HAVE TO ROUTE THINGS AND PLACE THINGS AND MOUNT THINGS CAREFULLY WHICH TAKES A COUPLE OF HOURS. 2)YOU HAVE TO RIG A GROUND AND HOT WIRE. It only draws 30 or 35 watts and I LIKE IT! Here are some pics: http://s943.photobucket.com/albums/ad278/halgot1/klrhid/ Regards, Jeffrey #3

Looks like a well made product, how brite is the lite? from what I've read these China kits all perform about the same the problem seems to be with the headlight lens,if you use the one that came with the bike it doesn't defuse it at the correct angle and sprays the beam all over the place much to the anoyance of oncoming traffic,"Can you say scary",you need a special lens made for Hids to make it work correctly, just a thought. Roadhouse blues would make better theme song for alcoholism than for motorcycle riding. Drinking in the morning doesn't make for good riding
