I just did it. I brought my bike to full operating temps. = 195F and the case temp were hot to the touch Drained the oil. Changed the filter With fresh oil until the temps were 195F and the fan cycled several times. Filled the tank with Seafom treated gas; (at the gas station, I added seafoam, added fuel) Rode the bike with seafoam treated fuel for 1 mile. Idled the bike with fuel off till it died of starvation. Removed the battery (not till it was zero F; duh. in the dark. duh) Mouse poison around the bikes. Put the batteries on Battery Tender. Counted the days till 1 April. Fresh antifreeze might have been good as well. revmaaatin.> > I know it's kind of late to ask but what do you guys (who are not riding the NW winters) do to winterize your KLR? > Thanks, > Shlomo >
