Hi,
Does anyone make a medium to large size tank bag that actually fits a 09 KLR 650?
I had bought a Fieldsheer Axcess bag but it didn't fit at all, so I sold it.
Would also prefer a clear map pocket.
Any suggestions?
Thanks...Bob

More to the point, does anyone know of a magnetic tank bag that will work on the IMS tank?

Wolfman Explorer fits my 08 and is made for sloped gas tanks. Has a clear map pocket. Expensive but well built....in the USA. Bob - I use a Dual Star bag. It's a great tank bag with room to spare. Was worried about the size but it disappears when you're goiing. Not magnetic but super simple to attach and works great!

Just curious about something I noticed this morning. Was changing a rear tire on my 06. Inside the rim on one bead are calibration marks. A "0" or "C" followed by a 5 then several marks followed by a 6. The marks are more than 1/16", less that 1/8", and more than a mm. I've mounted several tires and never noticed them before. Are they part of the manufacturing process?

I've got a Chase Harper model 650M with a clear map pocket on top. This tank bag fits perfectly and works well. You would swear that it's made for the KLR, although I'm guessing that the 650 means cc's of internal volume and the M designates that it's magnetic. They've put four or more serious magnets in the thing. It's designed to mount with straps or magnets but I cut off most of the webbing and just use a single buckle at the front. On the occasions that I forget to buckle the forward strap, the magnets still hold the bag secure at 85+ mph.
The magnets are located in soft, grippy wings. So if kept clean, it doesn't scratch the paint and because they are external to the bag's internal volume, they don't ruin credit cards if you put you wallet in the bag.
It was expensive at $100, but worth it.
