nklr motor magazine engine coolant article
Listers, I just got this from our friend Norm Keller who used to post on the list quite a bit. <><><><> Subject: Motor Magazine Engine Coolant Article Here's a very interesting article on coolants in newer vehicle applications. Some of the concerns regarding damage to silicone and other gasket materials are enough to give one pause: http://www.motor.com/article.asp?article_ID=1655 <><><><> I just read the article and although it really speaks to automobiles the concept is the same on our KLRs. I thought some of you might find it informative even if it is a bit technical and confusing. The last half gets better in it's explanations. As I recall, the KLR calls for a non silicate anti-freeze. This might help explain why we should maybe consider staying with it. Best,

fuse blowing and wondering why
Every couple of months the fuse that runs the headlights, instrument panel etc. on my bike blows. I'm not sure what the problem might be so I was wondering if somebody has any ideas?
Also I think I've heard of riders changing the location of their fuse box any information on that would be helpful too.
Getting ready to go to Mesa Verde, Hovenweep and beyond so I'd like to make sure I had this covered.
Thanks,
Rick
