Swap what you need to make your bike the best of the two, then sell the other one off. -----Original Message----- From: DSN_KLR650%40yahoogroups.com [mailto:DSN_KLR650%40yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of nhjim10 Hi all, I've been mostly lurking and even hiding off the group for quite a few months, since my engine seized in my '06 650. I've been unemployed since last September, so there were no funds for repair. BUT I start a new job Monday, and it pays pretty well (at least for my area). Now I'm back in the market for a KLR650 engine.

looking for klr650 engine
#ygrps-yiv-2024330624 p {margin:0;}Or check with MC Towing companies. That's how my brother got his '09 with 8K miles. Guy had totaled it with only liability insurance. The salvage yard offered him $300.00, my brother picked it up for $500. $1,500 worth of parts and it was back on the road, and since no insurance had been involved it was a straight title, not a salvage.
When a guy sideswiped him on the freeway, the bike was totaled again. The at-fault ins. company paid him $4,500 for the bike. It still started and ran just fine. The engine would have been a great candidate for transplant.
