Hey all you old-timers!
I'd like to report that 5 years later (almost to the day that this Q was posted), ARNE LARSEN is alive and well and still living in Abbotsford, BC!
I haven't ridden since I had to sell my bike in July 2005 and miss it all the time. I am no longer working as a policeman, rather, I went back to school and started my own business as a Home Inspector, which is going really well for me.

Some of you also may recall that I used to dabble in performing on stage; I'm still doing that and enjoying that very much!

And I'll bet that I now set the record for the LONGEST TIME between question & reply!
Cheers!

John,
Thanks for the feedback. You referenced the Big C known problems page- The Big C number for prior to 08 for the inner hub bearing is 6003- the 09 part number is a 6003G, which the dealer parts dept said is superseded. It may be the bearing has been replaced with a sealed version to avoid the rubber debris from the hub interface getting into the bearing. Will follow up with the list after the dealer files the warranty report.
