seattle area wheel welder

Attachments : I don’t have any personal experience with this guy but I have heard good things about The Wheelmaster (thewheelmaster.com).

His web site may be the worst on the web but he has an excellent reputation.

Hey, folks Can anyone in the Seattle area recommend a welding shop to weld a cracked rim? Looks like my front rim hit something right at the butt weld and separated it a bit on one side (looks like it wasn't welded very well in the first place). I've already found a few wheel repair shops on Google, but would like personal experience feedback if available. Thanks! Krokko -- J. Christopher Krok Big Cee Studios

north west ct tech day? mid-late summer????

Post by skypilot110 » Wed May 12, 2010 8:43 am

There was a recent Tech day in NE so there may not be enough call for this but I could host one mid to end of summer if there is desire. I am in the NW corner of CT so Boston, NYC/NJ and Albany are all just a few hours ride. Valves are easy and I will even do a bulk tire order and have them waiting here for anybody who needs to change their tires or who needs to learn road/trail side tire changing. Then we can ride around the corner into the Nepaug forest to break them in. If it has rained there will be some hero sections and if not then the Farmington river will be low enough to do a crossing. :-) If I can get someone in the North East doing a pre 08 Doohickey soon I would come film it. In the mean time I will order the kit and film it on my 08. Then we could show it in the basement, 121 inch screen and HD projector. People can then go home and do their doo durring the next rainy week or when they are comfortable. We do oil/valves/tires/inspection/(doo movie?), we grill, we go ride. Anybody interested?
