1996 klr 650 for sale

Post by false » Sat Dec 26, 2009 11:11 am

Selling my 96" klr with 6400 original miles on it. The bike has all new brake systems, new seat, radiator, rear subframe, new rear suspension and shock, dohickey, subframe bolt upgrade done, new interstate battery, new rims and tires, carb vent kit installed, new starter and more but cant remember all of the upgrades.   I bought a wrecked 07 with 400 miles on it and replaced my parts just to modernize it. It has never been wrecked. I have many original parts to go with the bike as well. I thought I could ride but do to injuries received in Iraq 04 my hip wont let me ride.   If interested email or call me if you have any questions, I am asking 2600 obo..I have 3200 in it>. Thanks and keep riding.   Barry Houston TX 713 835 2995 'A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have..' - Thomas Jefferson

Wasn't the other 650 they made for a short while gear driven? Wasn't it called a KLX 650? Isn't the somewhat simpler DR 650 a gear driven balancer? IIRC, the KLX650 had a single, gear-driven balancer. You can find out for sure by working the fiche on ronayers.com. the KLX650 was available from '93-'96 Mark
