help. chain and sprocket kit recommendation needed

Post by Robert Waters » Tue Aug 11, 2009 10:23 am

I'm going to order a chain and sprocket kit today. I want to go with good quality. The price seems good at the place linked below but what about the quality. If you have any first hand knowledge of this kit, or some other place, please reply. My chain got considerably worse the last 100 miles. Thanks in advance. rw http://www.klr650.com/ChainandSprocketdeal.htm http://www.klr650.com/ChainandSprocketdeal.htm> [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

help. chain and sprocket kit recommendation needed

I replaced one of these chain and sprocket kits on a customers bike recently. The front sprocket is a two piece affair that has an extra spacer. I find it hard to believe that this front sprocket was made specifically for the KLR. The chain was toast in about 4000 miles according to my customer. I think the old addage that you get what you pay for is true in this case. Fred

klr head and cylinder for sale

Post by E Hines » Wed Aug 12, 2009 4:38 pm

I still have these for sale. I will take $100.00 OBO for both of them. My mistake is your gain..... ----- Forwarded Message ---- From: E Hines To: DSN DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Monday, April 20, 2009 12:25:52 PM Subject: KLR HEAD AND CYLINDER FOR SALE I accidently bought a 1987 KLR 650 head and cylinder off e-bay. I only want $125.00 for both of them. The cylinder has a fresh hone on it. This will not work on my 2003, but will work a 1995 and older (I checked the part numbers on line). First response and they are yours. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
