This isn't the SMLE Owner's Group, but since we're already off-topic....
Speaking of late-model Enfield Bullets, if you have a late-model Lee-Enfield pattern rifle it may be from India as well!
They've been produced in Ishapore up until the 1980's re-chambered in .308 (7.62mm NATO, really). They still may be making some parts today.

I almost bought one a few years ago at a gun show as I love my Olde English No. 4 Mk I.
Lee-Enfields rifles chambered in .303 are still used in India (& Pakistan, I think) for reserves and some police forces.
If you look closely at the some of the photos from last year's attacks on Mumbai you can see the police are armed with No. 4 rifles.
But I digress....

Hence the Enfield Bullet , originally manufactured by the Royal Small Arms Factory in the London Borough of Enfield, manufacturers of the Enfield .303.
So, if you have a great big heavy rifle and fire warning shots at GS riders, you are on an original Enfield.
If you are on a late model Enfield, you have to wave a curry over your head (they're now made in India).
Thanks
