auxiliary option , try high power leds

Post by Mark H » Mon Feb 09, 2009 12:28 am

For a current draw option on a KLR I have adapted $25(pair) 3 in auxiliary lights (eBay) by replacing the 55 watt halogen lamps with 6 watt (3 x 2 Canadian LED MR-16 bulbs) that produce the same lumens of illumination as halogen and only draw 0.4 amps vs almost 5 amps each for H-3 halogens. I used a flat plate for mounting the lamps as shown in the KLRWorld how-to forums. Mark in snowy Nevada.

nklr laundering a tankbag?

Post by hotrodkawi » Mon Feb 09, 2009 8:15 am

I have a wolfman bag. I just pull off as many starps and the map cover..I just wash it in the washing machine..on delicate..Don't trow it in the dryer though. I have a front loader and they tend to be easy on things..If yor're concerned just hand wash it with woolight or something mild in the bath tub...It should be fine. Good luck my friend Rod --- In DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com, "cosmobojinski" wrote:
