The folks on the Yahoo Kawasaki Super Sherpa list are advising their listers that the KLR650 tank fits the Sherpa perfectly if the aft Sherpa tank mount is moved slightly rearward. That suggest that the Sherpa tank (about 2.2 gal) would probably fit on the KLR if one moved the aft tank mounts slightly forward (or improvised something similar) I bet that if you offered to swap a Super Sherpa owner your KLR tank for their Sherpa tank you would be deluged with offers.
