porous oil filter cover

Post by Spike55 » Tue Jul 22, 2008 5:51 am

I think mine was mis-shappened and three new O-rings never stopped the small leak until I used a new cover and used the existing O- ring. Maybe the porous cover that has been mentioned is a bad casting with a gap / channel that couldn't be machined out. I could see that happening on a few % per production run. I haven't run into personally. Don R100, A6F --- In DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com, "Stuart Mumford" wrote:

Was that anyone from here? A buddy spotted it going Southbound on the 101.
