<><><><><><><><><> <><><><><><><><><> Kevin, What are you using for a puller? If it's the Motion Pro puller I've heard of two in the last week that couldn't do the job. I think on one the threads pulled off. I saw one up here where the threads distorted enough that it wouldn't catch anymore. If you are using an EagleMike puller I don't think you would be having a problem. Tell us how you're trying to pull the rotor. I don't know if that's a compliment or an insult. Hahahah Don't renounce the Pagan ways yet. Those who study history will learn that all the common concepts like virgin birth, heaven/hell, salvation, ultimate sacrifice, monotheism, the 10 commandments and many more that most of us know from the Bible are taken from ancient Pagan mythology. For us Americans on the list, we know it well from our own Founding Fathers, who were quick to denounce religion and made sure to keep Pagan concepts alive in creating this nation (democracy for one, the Washington monument is another and plenty more). At this point we probably should take the theological discussions offlist, as theology and politics are rarely conducive to civil conversations. :) For a little KLR content here, let's just say that there have been times (like last week) when I've used many religious .ahh. names. to beg for blessings for my bike, and then alternating with cursing it. In the end, I have to pull the carb bowl to truly sanctify its operation. Hjeh hjeh hjeh (Norwegian laugh) //Reverend From: Luc Legrain [mailto:zrislois2klr@...] Darn... If all Revs were like you I'd renounce my Pagan ways and become a Muslim..... or maybe not ... the veil ..and all ..you know..

It might be pricey, but think of the hours you save.,_._,___ [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Hiya Kevin. Mine was stuck the first time too and I did what the Kawasaki mechanic told me to do.I know I'll have to endure the hoots and cat calls when I share this "duct tape and baling wire" solution but it worked for me. If you have your puller installed and as tight as you can get it, take out your favorite hammer and apply just a touch of torque thrust to the end of the puller. Now take it easy here, you don't want the crankshaft coming out of the other side of the block...just a gentle tap ought to do. When I did this to my (05) I thought it would destroy this precision instrument but that was some 30,000 miles ago and she still purrs like a kitten. That is why we buy KLR's, they truly are more like an anvil than fine China. Oh yea, one more thing, be ready to catch it or at least don't have your foot under it...don't want any broken toes!!
