how to buy a klr for cheap

Post by Bob Monahan » Wed Jun 04, 2008 6:32 pm

Here's an excellent example of how a like new KLR can be bought for cheap!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=18024723 5567&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=008> &rd=1&item=180247235567&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=008 This auction is closed and the sale actually made at that price. If you want one and are patient you can get an 07 model for cheap. And of course it's red, which we ALL know is by far the BEST color... $bob$ Bob Monahan Realtor Marion H. Wow.... not including fuel, insurance and registration, it cost that guy approximately $12.92 a mile to own it! I just love all the class-A morons who buy a new bike and sell it shortly after stating, "It's not what I thought it would be." I'm surprised he didn't also manage to take a hit on about $1,200 worth of add-ons & upgrades installed before mile 10. Mark At 7:37 PM -0400 6/4/08, Bob Monahan wrote:

I'm sorry, but the above information is incorrect. 15/43 is stock gearing. For more low end, DROP a tooth in front (14t), for lower rpm at speed, go up a tooth in front (16t). I've found the 15 tooth front o work best overall, I only go to the 14t for a ride I know will be a lot of off road and/or sand. I've never used a 16t, I don't see the need to ride my KLR over about 75 mph for a stretch, or 85mph top speed. It's not built for 100mph, I reckon. Thanks CA Stu A13
