I am 6 ' 2". Your setup may be ok with the larger screen.
I have a wee strom as well. Standard screen setup creates huge buffeting at the helmet for nearly all. A bracket that extends the windscreen outward about 2 to 3 inches (Madstad bracket) - has made a big difference. It basically relieves the negative pressure behind the screen and hence the air turbulance. I suggest that your setup may well have a similar problem with the negative pressure to the wee strom. Maybe a laminar lip may help if there is a problem
Anyway, stand up on the pegs and see if it makes a difference. Work from there.

We picked up the 1993 KLR yesterday. It's missing a bunch of parts and needs a little TLC, but I was able to jump the starter and get her to fire over. With any luck and a bit of cash, we'll have her back on the road in a month or two. Right now I gotta strip the bike to replace some of the wiring and make a complete parts list of things needed. I'm hoping to find a parts bike in the area that I can raid for parts, but if not then EBay is going to be my best friend. Somehow I can't figure it out though. My friend gets the bike...I get all the work?
