nklr red light cameras

Post by thomas cole » Sun Apr 20, 2008 3:27 pm

Hey folks, it's been a while since my last post and to be honest I sometimes just like to read some of the forums we have going on. Because we do have some characters on-line. Anyway I wanted to talk about those pesky red light cameras that are popping up all over North America ( Here in Edm, Ab too). It's amazing how dangerous some intersections are. Most people fly through intersections way too fast (those flashing turning arrows). I've hit yellow lights and gone through hoping to get through. I don't like the cash cow they're (ticket cameras) turning into but, I like the fact you can subpoena the footage for accident purposes / insurance / court etc.. (not me but it does happen). The one thing I do see now and like a lot are the count-down timers at the cross walks that are appearing slowly in our city. I think it gives the driver one more tool to drive defensively through an intersection. They really do work from my experience. Well that's my $.002. Some one asked about the remaining snow the other day. In Edmonton we got about 8 inches since yesterday, but the ultra-accurate weather service say that it will stop comng down on Tuesday. Which means between Monday and about Friday, perhaps. That is why many Canadians winter in Arizona. DC
