<><><><><><><><><> <><><><><><><><><> blocloc, I use about one tablespoon of baking soda per gallon of water. The charger I use for this is a Sears Craftsman 1 or 4 amp charger. I start with the 4 amp setting and see how it goes. If I think it's going too fast I'll switch to the 1 amp setting. It all really depends on how large is the part, how much solution you're using and the size of the sacrificial metal surface area. Like stated in the referenced sites... it's not rocket science. Just play with it a bit and you'll figure out what works well for you. Just don't allow the metals to touch. I started having trouble with my choke (enrichener) "hanging up" after I re-installed the carburetor after rebuilding the top end of my motor. I removed the throttle cables and not the choke cable at the time. Now, I can start the engine with the choke on, but as it warms up and I try to back off on the choke, it hangs up and idles high. The outer cable wants to push it's way out of the housing that the choke handle is attached to. I can play with the cable adjustment, and pull the outer cable back into the housing by hand and eventually get the idle back down. After playing around with this for a while, the standard mounting point under the left switches stripped out, so I bought a replacement choke bracket from Fred that attaches to the clutch lever bracket. That didn't help. Anybody had this problem before? I'm not sure if I have to replace the choke handle housing, the choke cable, or maybe the end of the choke isn't properly installed in the carb.
