I own the Arai XD in XXL and the Shoei Hornet in XXL. Shoei: Fits me better. Peak is shorter, less effective blocking sun, but effective enough... requires more head tilt to block low sun. Peak does not vibrate Peak does not catch wind like the Arai's Quieter Less neck strain on long rides, probably more aerodynamic Arai: Cooler looking than the Shoei. Chinstrap is so short it is extremely difficult to fasten. Noisy Peak vibrates enough to give me a headache on long rides Peak more effective than the Shoei's at blocking low sun, a slight head tilt is all that is required. Less aerodynamic, causes neck strain on longer rides. Neither one is quiet, but the Shoei is quietER. Both fog like crazy, but in both cases a Respro Foggy mask stops it. I like them both, but I like the Shoei more. -- "Tragedy is when I cut my finger. Comedy is when you fall into an open manhole and die." -- Mel Brooks San Francisco, CA

Anyone within about 500 miles of DC got a pre-2008 KLR for sale? If so, please send the pics, mods, and price. Thanks, Chap
