painting pelicans
I have a Pelican 1520 solid side bag that I want to paint. What info
or tips can you give me about painting Pelicans? I plan to use a
light sandpaper (even if the Pelican is fiberglass/plastic), wipe
clean with rubbing alcohol, let dry, then spray with Krylon Black
Matte. Any reason what that is a bad idea? Does anyone have
experience in painting Pelicans? And, thanks.

Just when you think our checkered past has been forgotten, you had to bring up "that" episode again.........
I'm gonna tell Gino.

Eddie,
Krylon Fusion is a paint marketed to be suitable for "most plastics". No word
on whether Pelican plastic fills the bill, though.

If you need help during your trip, I am in Whitehorse with access to
pickup truck, welder, spare tires and in case of emergency parts of my
bike ( KLR650 '06 ). Other than that give me a call and I can show you
around or go for a coffee.
