Well yesterday I had a close encounter with the DUMD league. I beleave he was a member of the "we shareum laneum" branch. Happens I came upon an assident- 3lanes to 1- I merg impecably- moments later I discover a Jeep Liberty with 55+whitemale. is in my lane. (I am on the left of the lane to avoid assident) I blow my 139db brain freezer and he stairs at me like I am on a bycycle. I procede to yell cuss kick pulld up got back in front and he did it again? so I left footprint in his door. Seams that fighting a 4000lb vehicle qualifies me for the dumb club to eh? Made my own heated vest with what I had available. WOW works great! Wish I had done it 2 winters ago. Also any one have and old set of heated grips/grip heaters? ty

Well I always say "don't bring a knife to a gun fight". I tend not to argue with cars, semi's or anything that outweighs me by a great margin. I prefer to "pick my battles" rather than invite possible death or anhilation. Now mind you I didn't always feel that way, but riding the KLR has calmed me down quite a bit. We'd all rather read your rants than your obit.

Sensible People, Where on the world do you find so much common sense as on this group website?? Just the fact that we own a KLR (or two)sets us apart from the rest of the MC-folks, with this adaptable, no-nonsense, inexpensive on-going hobby-project. So, after sucking up, I must report that I received the exhaust pipe gasket from the national Dealer, thru my local Yamaha store. The exhaust pipe and the golden donut is installed, the bike started instantly, even after several weeks of inaction. No gas leakage, everything sounds fine. It remains a mystery why it wouldn t even start down hill, a few weeks ago, the only thing I can think of is that it protected me from doing damage to the engine, as obviously something was wrong somewhere. Whether this was Providence or just good luck is for you to decide. Since it is raining very often, (the weather must obey the statistics) I plan on the lowering links and linkage bearing change next. Anyhow, I cannot get out of the house with the big bike. They decided to pour concrete on the dirt street in front of my house, and it is a 300 ft street, dead-end!, and they could do 10 feet on a good day, so..anyone can figure how long the street will be closed to traffic? There is so much evil stupidity that I come across every day. Correct, only abt.two months!, taking into account down time with rain. I manage to slip by on my toy bike YBR125, pretty handy little thing, gets me everywhere, no, haven t tried the moon yet. I installed the speedbleeders I got from Fred on the brake calipers, I think they are great, instant pressure, brakes feel more tight. Drawback is they stick out more that the stock bleedervalves, and could be easily damaged when driving in loose stones and branches, but I think we are creative enough to find a solution for that? Or did I do something wrong again? It could be possible, seeing my track record. Absorbing your wisdom as always, Jake. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Be a better pen pal. Text or chat with friends inside Yahoo! Mail. Wow! Okay, maybe I would have been there but I can't see doing more then blowing your decibel shaker. I probably would have been irritated too but think I would have backed off and let him take the lane he wanted so badily. Conflicts with 2wheelers and 4wheelers ... they tend to favor the 4wheelers :^) Doug
