FOR SALE 2003 KLR 650, 1171 Miles. This bike is absolutely spotless. If anybody wants a basically new KLR 650, it is sitting in my garage gathering dust. I purchased it in April and just have not had the time to ride and enjoy it. This bike has never been in the dirt and has been maintained to the absolute specs of the owners manual. I purchased it at Motor Sports in Wichita, Kansas and that is where I am located. I have been advised to not take anything under 3800.00 for this bike. I know this is flaky cause I haven't had it long but here goes. I just don't need the bike right now. It is a great, fun ride but it is tying up some funds that I need for summer travels. It was a great deal when I bought and it is a great deal now. 2003 KLR 650 Great shape, 3100 miles The following mods have been done. Eagle Doohickey replacement done by certified Kawasaki mechanic 9 inch over stock windshield with edging New Renthal aluminum handlebars (what a difference this has made) Arrowhead Motorsports risers for bars New Soft Gel grips Maier Aluminum hand Guards Big Cee off Road Lights. Mini Dash with power plug, Volt meter, clock, outside temp gauge. New left side controls. Headlight now has on and off switch. Has push to cancel turn signal. It also has high beam flash. Anti-vibration mirror dampers Moose heavy duty bash plate under engine Moose magnetic oil drain plug Ram mount on handlebars Engine Guard with highway pegs Wolfman XL expandable tank bag Givi E36NJ top trunk Rear Hypre-Lite brake LED Lights(flashes while braking) Carb. vent line T-mod Gerbing heated clothing power cord (can also be used for battery tender) Gel insert in seat Alaska Leathers sheepskin seat cover Weatherproof ATO Main Fuse Relocation Kit Starter Lockout Bypass Kit(bypasses sidestand and clutch safety switches. Starting with the clutch. One of the ways to get rid of this starting interference is just to remove the smaller relay that controls the bigger starter relay. But then the sidestand will still cut the engine, butt I have no real problem with that, I guess you could just cut the steel cable leading to the sidestand?? The clutch lever even if adjusted to specs still leaves me with some resistance, so when I want to push the bike, rolling freely, I must go in neutral. When accidently trying to start the bike in first gear you will feel a nice jolt. OOoops. I got a nice, cheap LED rear light at the Yamaha store in Liberia, and I installed it in addition to the regular stock brake light. It is a great safety back-up, for when the lightbulb suddenly fails. As it did, and it took me a couple of hours to find the cause: the wire going into the socket failed, not visible to the eye. I did not have my tester with me. So, I went and bought a regular dirtbike socket, and then the removed the innards, and stuck it into the Kawa socket, works. Another day of creative licking Kawa butt. What else can make a man happy?
