Tough call. I love my 01 but really like the new I weighed the value of my 01 and the cost for a new one and just bought more farkle. There really isn't enough difference to make the jump. If I was considering a WeeStrom or C Country it would be a different story. I like my KLR just fine. BTW-The green ones really are better.

That's a personal call that no one else can make but you. For me, the '08 isn't enough to want to make me get rid of my '99 with only 23,000 miles on it. But, it is enough to look forward to buying once I wear out my '99. It's new! It looks nicer (to me) and it's quite a bit better on the road, where typically one spends most of the time. I do not believe it's the bike for me to go from TX-AK on as after a 700 mile trip, Dallas-HotSprings, I found the constant vibration to be ass numbing! I am looking at a $20.00 throw on seat from Wmart that looks promising, I would hate to spend more on a new seat only to find it not good for my ass. I know lot's of folks like the Corbin stuff but alot of folks also believe the stock KLR seat is fine for riding distances. I looked at the BMW and Triumph before getting another KLR as the main reason for getting the KLR was the cheap parts and availability of service across the USA. JimD
