That is awesome. Anything like that on the East Coast?
Thanks,

Just checked with Google Earth.....only 4674 km's one way...but on the
bright side I wonder if with the 16 tooth front sprocket installed I
could do it in the quoted 1 day and 21 hours or to have a chance of
success should I trade my '04 in for the more road ready '08....food
for thought anyway eh....Greg

Ya, me and Mother Nature put on quite a show here in Moab. Glad you liked all the red rocks.
That ironing board has made mild mannered Zac a tough cookie. Just ask the mountain biker on the WR that got in his way. hehe Speaking of pictures, I should be nice to Zac since he has some video evidence he could use against me. 8-[
13 hours on anything is a very long time, sheep skin or not. DANG!

The only casualty for me was my turn signal (thanks to the White Rim) and my butt (13 hour ride from Chama New MX to Dallas / Ft. Worth). Back to the turn signal, do ya'll know a KLR is awfully hard to pick up with the tank going down hill (it took 3 to get it up) and line choice is extremely important? You can ride 750 miles or so in one day on a KLR. Put it on 80 mph and hope you have sheep skin on your seat. Rat Zac from Oregon is a sick man. Anyone that would put an ironing board on a trials bike for a seat is .... twisted (I got pictures). I got more T shirts if anyone wants one. That DRZ400 based SM that Suzuki sells is very nice. There has been a change in the U.S. distribution of parts from Husqvarna, if I remember correctly, and I have been told by friends who own them that parts aren't nearly as difficult to come by as they were in the past. If your son isn't inclined to wrench on the bike himself, your best bet at disuading him might be in terms of maintenance, as I believe the maint requirements of the Husky are going to be a step higher than the Suzuki. Just my opinion. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
