widder connectors nklr

Post by Bogdan Swider » Sun Jun 03, 2007 9:06 am

I know some of you use Widder vests and gloves. I m having trouble finding the connectors used for those products and don t even know what they re called; Google didn t help. You can buy the connectors attached to cords but I just need a few connectors. My electric supply place has a ton of stuff but didn t stock them. Thanks in advance, Bogdan who had to leave Moab early this year but sure enjoyed seeing old friends. Also the ride between Colorado Springs and Moab, by way of Ridgeway, has to be tied for best pavement ride in the world [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Good pictures at least: http://www.warmnsafe.com/motorcycle_accessories.php (Maybe widder to SAE converter would be a consideration) http://www.motorcyclecruiser.com/accessoriesandgear/electric_clothing/photo_02.html http://www.widder.com/html/Product/Hookups/index.html (widder to SAE converter directly from widder) And remember that you can just cut off the widder plug and convert it to SAE. I use SAE since that is what the battery tender uses. They are easy to find, durable and inexpensive. -- Doug Herr doug@... Have you tried Rider Wearhouse, www.aerostich.com ?? They have a full page of connectors in their free catalog. Awesome catalog, btw, if you're not familiar with them. Also www.WhitehorseGear.com has Widder connectors in their catalog . I'm not up on this stuff but it looks to me like you could find everything you might need at one or both of these sources. I order these two catalogs every season....you know, 'Dream Books' !!! Cheers, Steve

Thanks Steve. Checked my catalogs. Rider W doesn't have it and Whitehorse, like others will sell me the cord with connectors but not just the connectors. Must be a source for them somewhere. That's it Walt. When I googled their site didn't come up. I thus thought they only sold through dealers; done of the retailers I looked at sold only the connectors. Much thanks, I owe you a dinner at the Kiev. Bogdan -----Original Message----- From: a14@... synthetic oil in your klr

Post by Mike Peplinski » Mon Jun 04, 2007 7:35 am

OH nooooo! The dreaded oil thread! OK, here goes. Here's the grand summary of what every other oil thread led to; While there really is no difference in the performance of syn vs dyno oil in your KLR, it will hold viscosity longer. This is important. Change oil at 1500 miles with dyno, 2000 with synthetic. Thats it. The diesel brands, Shell Rotella, Delo and Castol diesel oils are favored. This seems to be as close to "universally accepted" information as it comes. Ok, for those of you who go 5000 miles on store brand oil. Fine. I'm not arguing or disagreeing. I'm merely summarizing the dozens of articles and threads I've read on this, and other lists. Those of you who spend extra bucks on oil analysis, enjoy your obsession. and thanks for the information. Oil is cheap compared to engine work. Diesel oil makes sense and gets the nod in most cases. Selecting one brand over another seems like splitting hairs. They are all good.
