<><><><><><><><><><><><><> <><><><><><><><><><><><><> Norm, I just glanced at the list but I was amazed you consider tires a mod. : ) Then you adjust the shift lever for a mod and then replace it for a different mod. : ) And shimming the needle and then removing the shim got you number 60 and 61????? : ) And I looked again and see you shortened the side stand for number 16 and now you're gonna claim a mod for lengthening it? What's up with that? : ) Now I'm just kind of curious as to what folks consider criteria for mods? And what's the definition of "Farkle?" I kind of thought farkle was something that wasn't considered a necessity or maybe useful. And a mod, well it looks like a mod could be anything you do to a bike. : ) In fact I don't see where you claimed two mods for adjusting the rear suspension preload and also the rebound. : ) And did you adjust the chain? That's got to be good for a mod. : ) If you add balance weights to the front and rear wheel would that get you another mod? : ) I bet your bike works great for you. I know I've sure benefited from much of your mods and the knowledge you've passed on to the list about how you did them and the thought processes driving them. Thanks for that. I'm now off my mod soap box. : ) I've got to get some sleep for tech day in the morning. Currently looks like three KLRs for doohickeys and torsion springs, one will also get a new front brake line and a carb rebuild. And a R100 for a complete tune up which includes a carb synch, but which isn't counted as a mod : ) and some electrical troubleshooting. And an Enfield for a clutch replacement. Plus a few surprise visitors I'm sure. Geez Norm, look down and grab those "bootstraps",
big guy. You got off easy with good-guy Jeff. You're
lucky you weren't attacked by the "doyenne-of-diss", ELG.

Looking at your list there are some good ideas there and I'm sure some will
end up on my bike.
Having got this far Norm, I think you should continue to push on, and I'm
here to help. For the true "King of Mods" look you will need to add a
couple dozen mirrors - mods 85 through 109!

Who are we to pass judgment on what is and isn't a mod? One man's mod
may be another man's minor adjustment. Big deal.
FWIW, my criterion is that if a person intentionally acts to change the
bike in any way from its stock setup, its a mod. Its up to the reader to
decide whether it is or is not a significant mod, hopefully in private.
Personally I enjoy skimming your mods list when it shows up but I think
the best mod is the dent we all put in our seats when we're riding.
