[[ possible spam ]] [dsn_klr650] 100,000 mile klr
Will
My '87A1 turned over 140,000kms yesterday. Not quite 100,000mls but fairly
close. No major work done to the engine except for new cam & balancer chains
and guides. It is using a little oil between changes but not enough to
warrant tearing the motor down. On a recent long trip (3000kms) I used close
to 2lts.

I know this topic has been gone over in the past but just to refresh
us -- are there any stockers out there with 100,000 miles plus on them?
Also, is there an average lifespan as far as years in service and total
miles?
Just wondering how much time my well cared for mostly highway driven
A12 ("98") might have in her. Thanks, Will
p.s. The fuel leak from under the tank I reported was indeed simply
loose screws on petcock. Once tightened the leak nearly stopped. What
little loss there is now is probably due to my needing to replace the
rubber seals.
