still dealing with tusk handguards

hey there, I have placed allready the clutch side handguard, a little lower than my first pics (I will take new ones and place in the album to actualize the info)... Now I'm trying to put in place the rigth one...but I'm figuring how to cut the little plastic top in order to fix it without pressing the ...how do you say it? accelerator??? help (help with my poor english and with the way to put it in place) regards Guillermo
